BNP Paribas’ Equipment Solutions division, which includes BNP
Paribas Lease Group, has reported strong results in the third
quarter.

Indeed, the division saw revenues grow by 6.6 percent
year-on-year in Q3 to €292 million, or by 12.7 percent compared to
Q2, which the lessor attributed to rebound in the prices of used
vehicles, particularly in the UK.

The result was that gross operating income jumped by 40 percent
compared to the previous quarter, or nearly 20 percent
year-on-year, to €113 million.

Pre-tax income reached €55 million in Q3, significantly higher
than the €35 million achieved in Q2, and helping to boost the
lessor’s income for the first nine months of 2009 to €74
million.

Meanwhile, the division’s total outstandings were €28.1 billion
at the end of September, down by nearly 7 percent compared to the
same time last year.
