Athlon Car Lease International has teamed up with vehicle
manufacturer Renault in an attempt to spread electric vehicle
technology.
The De Lage Landen subsidiary and Renault aim to make electric
vehicles available to as wide an audience as possible, starting in
2011.
“We have noticed a broad interest among our clients to
experience and get involved in electric vehicle driving,” said Hans
Blink, president of Athlon Car Lease.
“Renault is the first OEM that will have a full range of
electric vehicles available in the near future, and therefore we
are happy to collaborate with, and receive support from,
Renault.”
The French manufacturer said it expects electric vehicles to
account for 10 percent of the global market by 2020.
“By joining efforts in our common interest in the electric
vehicle demand, we aim to provide our customers with end-to-end
solutions in electric vehicle driving,” Blink added.
