Leasing Foundation appointments look to drive innovation

Cat Powell and Sam Dring join board.

The Leasing Foundation has announced the appointment of Cat Powell and Sam Dring as new board members to enhance its innovation channel. Both are recognised figures in the industry and join the existing nine-member board that guides the Foundation’s goals.

Cat Powell, head of data insight and automation at Novuna Business Finance, offers a unique perspective on innovation and change. With a background in consultancy, technical software development, and scientific research, she is passionate about technological advancement and industry contribution. Powell has been actively involved with the Leasing Foundation for several years, advocating for diversity, inclusion, and innovation.

Sam Dring, head of asset finance product at Lloyds Banking Group, oversees the commercial performance, risk profile, and strategic direction of the asset finance product within the commercial bank. He also spearheads the development of sustainable lending initiatives. He supports learning and development programmes across the broader lending and working capital business at Lloyds, emphasising the importance of a learning culture.

The new appointments to the board will join the following existing board members:

  • Andy Denton, non-exec director (Alfa Financial Software)
  • Mike Randall, non-exec director (Simply)
  • Graeme Chisholm, non-exec director (CBC Resourcing Solutions)
