By GlobalDataRichard Johnston, director of Johnston Plant Sales, said: “Yanmar is renowned worldwide for its quality products and superb service. There is real demand for the product range in the West Midlands and we hope to play a key role in gaining stronger market penetration over the coming months. Already, we’re seeing a strong pipeline of enquiries for the cabbed and canopy SV18 models.
“We’ve always taken great pride in going the extra mile for our customers, so working with a brand that shares our passion for delighting the operator is really exciting. Our partnership with Yanmar gives construction professionals in the West Midlands access to a class-leading range of equipment that combines Japanese design with European manufacturing quality.”
In January this year, Yanmar launched a used equipment remarketing service to help plant hire firms update their fleets.
Yanmar will evaluate and purchase existing rental machinery, offsetting the value against new Yanmar models.
Available through dealers across the UK and Ireland, the service allows plant managers to invest in state-of-the-art equipment without the inconvenience of re-selling their current fleet.
In February, Yanmar appointed MTS Plant to its UK and Ireland dealer network.
The sales and rental provider will be responsible for distributing Yanmar’s portfolio of excavators, carriers and wheeled-loaders to construction companies across Yorkshire, Lancashire and Cheshire.
Founded in 1986, MTS Plant is responsible for increasing fleet and operator access to the latest Yanmar range.
