German car rental company Sixt has launched a unified corporate package bundling leasing, rental, fleet management and mobility.
A spokesman for Sixt said clients have been increasingly asking for more than one product in recent years, which incentivised Sixt to set up a unified point of entry for corporate customers. Leasing Life and Motor Finance understand clients will still be able to opt for individual products rather than the unified bundle.
Sixt said it was “aligning its sales structure to its corporate clients’ changing mobility needs.”
The company has promoted Vinzenz Pflanz to the newly-created position of senior vice president of group sales, where he will oversee the unified corporate offer. Pflanz arrived at the Sixt group as chief sales officer for Sixt Leasing in 2016. Prior to that, he was chief commercial officer at Fleet Logistics International for six years.
The company said the creation of a group sales position was the “next logical step towards offering customized mobility solutions from a single source”.
Additionally, Oliver Popkowitz, has become senior director for SME and digital sales. Previously, Popkowitz managed corporate sales for Sixt’s European subsidiaries outside Germany.

By GlobalDataBoth Pflanz and Popkowitz will report directly to Konstantin Sixt, chief sales officer of the Sixt group.
Konstantin Sixt said: “Sixt is the comprehensive mobility provider. As the only [such] provider on the market, we can offer our customers needs-oriented mobility from our cornerstones of car rental, new mobility services and leasing, whether for six minutes, six days, six months or six years.
“Our unique ability is increasingly reflected in sales, offering our corporate customers significant added value.”
As well as the products from Sixt Leasing, Sixt’s corporate offer includes short- and long-term rental, truck hire and “mobility as a service”, where employees are provided with a set budget that they can use for whichever transport means they prefer.
Sixt also has a partnership in place with Daimler’s car club DriveNow. Daimler recently bought out Sixt’s stake in the car club, becoming its full owner.
