Business software house SAP has appointed Genesis Capital to run its financing programme in the UK and Ireland, taking over from BNP Paribas Leasing Solutions who stopped covering the software provider in 2013.
Genesis was awarded the contract after a beauty parade of shortlisted firms and due to the fact its business managed to meet all of the requirements set out by SAP
Matt Porton, director of Genesis Capital and the person who will lead the SAP project, told Leasing Life: "We do know their business market place very well, we’ve worked with a lot of those partners for a very long time, and prior to being appointed, had done in excess of 120 SAP deals on finance and have been dealing with them since 1997.
That familiarity with the channel and with the products probably helped us when we were pitching against the others."
Among the requirements met by Genesis Capital was the company’s ability to deliver competitive rates, high quality service, a high acceptance rate and a ‘proactive approach’ to the programmes development.
The decision to award the contract was said to be ‘unanimous’, according to a statement from Patrick Dunne, head of finance for SAP.
