At its meeting following this year’s annual general meeting (AGM), the supervisory board of Grenke AG, a global provider of financing for small and medium-sized enterprises, elected Jens Rönnberg (tax advisor and auditor) as the new chairman of the supervisory board.
Konstantin Mettenheimer, attorney and tax advisor, was elected as his deputy.
Rönnberg takes over as chairman of the supervisory board from Ernst-Moritz Lipp, who retired from the board. Rönnberg has been a member of the supervisory board since November 2019 and was previously the deputy chairman of the supervisory board. Mettenheimer was elected to the supervisory board at the 2021 AGM.
More than 200 shareholders attended the event on-site at the Kongresshaus in Baden-Baden.
On April 20, GRENKE announced an investment in Miete24 P4Y GmbH amounting to a 25% stake plus one voting share. Through this investment in the internet platform, Grenke said it is strengthening its sales infrastructure, particularly in the specialist reseller area while opening up more options for direct online business with commercial customers.
Heino Deubner, managing director of Miete24 P4Y GmbH, said: “Product leasing is becoming increasingly popular with both business and retail customers. GRENKE’s entry, with its strong capital base and selling strength, especially in the IT and small-ticket segments, means we can now scale our technology much faster and purposely open up options for both of us to directly market financing to customers – also internationally.”
