German independent lessor Grenke Leasing has reported a 17% year-on-year growth in new business volumes, which amounted to €961.1m (£709m) in the first nine months of 2015.

According to the lessor, the results exceeded its growth forecast of 11-15%.

"In the nine-month period we were able to maintain our contribution margins in the Leasing segment at a constantly high level due to efficient sales management and favourable interest rate environment."

Apart from a 15.6% year-on-year increase in new business volumes in Germany, the company reported growth across all European regions. In South Europe new business volumes increased by 24.7%, in Western Europe – excluding Germany- by 12.7% and in Northern/Eastern Europe by 12.5%.

In Italy and Switzerland growth in volumes reached 32.7% and 28.3% respectively.

In the first nine months of 2015, the Grenke Group recorded 257,625 lease applications – of which 208,808 were international – which generated 113,448 new lease contracts (89,160 thereof were international).
