Lombard backs Burnley printer

A Burnley-based food packaging company
has secured £1.25m (€1.52m) of financing from Lombard for a new
printing press.

Learoyd Packaging sought asset finance
from the RBS subsidiary to fund a new £1.75m Windmoller &
Holscher press, its third new press in five years.

Learoyd Packaging MD Allan Ferguson
said: “As the business expands it’s critical that we continue to
provide customers with the product and service that they are used
to.

“We have made significant investment in
the last few years and are confident that this will support future
business growth.”

Food producers Cadbury, Müller and
Warburtons are among Learoyd’s clients.
