Leaseurope has announced that Lectura, a German-based provider of machinery intelligence, has joined the organisation as its latest associate member.

Lectura’s database contains information and data on more than 147,700 heavy machinery models and provides an evaluation of used machines as well as market intelligence through online tools and digital services, Leaseurope said in a press release.

The machinery data intelligence business, founded in 1984, said its database of equipment information attracts hundreds of thousands of professional visitors every month when researching machinery before making a decision to buy or finance.

Petr Thiel (pictured below), the chief executive of Lectura, said: “It is my pleasure and privilege to be a part of Leaseurope. Since participating in a panel discussion at Leaseurope´s conference a few years ago, I wanted Lectura to be an active part of this great organisation. Lectura is dedicated to supporting the association and its members with our know-how and data intelligence. Big thanks to Anne and Richard for this opportunity.”

Anne Valette, director-general of Leaseurope, said: “We are happy to welcome Lectura into our dedicated group of Leaseurope associate members. Their expertise in heavy machinery and extensive market intelligence will no doubt be an incredible asset to Leaseurope and its member network. We look forward to working with their organisation going forward.”

In April, Leaseurope announced that Ritchie Bros had joined the organisation as an associate member. Ritchie Bros is a global asset management and disposition company established in 1958 and is listed on the NYSE and the Toronto stock exchange (TSX) with its European headquarters in Breda, the Netherlands.
