The role of AI in asset finance, the implications of rising bad debt for SME lenders, and the use of networks and partnerships to drive change in the equipment finance sector will be at the heart of a series of roundtable talks hosted by lessors representing companies based in the UK, continental Europe and North America when they meet online on Thursday 6th of May.
Three roundtable events, each lasting an hour, will form the core of the Leasing Life Roundtable Forum 2021, which starts at 9 am (GMT) with a series of 20-minute presentations.

The morning will kick off with a keynote address by Blaise Thomson, the director of Alfa iQ, the R&D arm of Alfa Software, who will discuss his career and explain how he’s made the transition to working in asset finance from being a Fellow at Cambridge University, Blaise will also offer his take on what cutting-edge technology can bring to the leasing sector.
Next up is a fireside Q&A with Lee Rhodes, Aldermore‘s commercial director for asset finance, who will address the outlook for SMEs as the UK comes out of lockdown.
Bernd Oppold, a partner for KPMG in Germany, will give a talk entitled “EaaS customer insights. What 10.000+ machine owners told us about Equipment as a Service”.
