The Leasing Foundation is set to bring together three of its key initiatives – EDI (Equity, Diversity and Inclusion), Innovation and NextGen – for a two-part event series designed to inspire, connect and empower professionals across the asset finance industry.

Taking place in April and May, the events will explore how innovation and diverse thinking can drive success, as well as provide practical guidance on career growth in asset finance. With a strong focus on inclusivity, the events aim to encourage fresh ideas, challenge traditional silos and offer a platform for networking and knowledge-sharing.

The first event, ‘Unlocking innovation – the power of diverse thinking for a thriving culture’, will be held on the evening of 10 April at Funding Circle’s London office.  Guest speakers include Olympian Tom Bosworth and Diavian Frame, a sports exercise rehabilitation student and coach who will talk about how embracing different perspectives can fuel innovation, enhance collaboration and create a dynamic workplace culture. The event will include thought-provoking discussions and practical strategies to help professionals implement inclusive, innovative practices within their organisations.

The second event, ‘Driving personal growth and career paths in asset finance’, will take place on the morning of 1 May at CGI’s London office. This interactive breakfast seminar will feature a panel of industry leaders sharing insights into career development, navigating change and embracing innovation within asset finance. The discussion will highlight real-life success stories, providing attendees with valuable takeaways to support their own career progression.

The event series is being organised by Maddy Pooley (Simply), Jazmine Frost (CGI), Andrew Burley (Funding Circle) and Ana-Maria Broscatan (Close Brothers).

Maddy Pooley emphasised the importance of these events: “Innovation and career progression go hand in hand. By bringing together diverse voices from across the industry, we can help break down barriers, encourage fresh perspectives and create meaningful opportunities for professionals at every stage of their careers. These events are about more than just learning – they’re about building a community that supports and inspires one another.”

Both events are open to professionals across the asset finance industry, with tickets priced at £15 (+VAT) per session or £25 (+VAT) for both.  For more details and to register, click here
