The Leasing Foundation will launch a programme to identify and support the future leaders of the industry at its first annual conference on 30 September.

The Future Leaders programme will recognise leasing professionals in their 30s deemed by the Foundation’s governors and fellows to have "significant potential to change the face of both their organisation and the industry".

The programme, described as a "learning network" is supported by NetApp Capital Solutions and Société Générale Equipment Finance and will involve activities designed to help participants develop competencies for leadership.

Derek Soper, Leasing Foundation chairman, said: "We look forward to working with our first cohort of future leaders to develop this exciting programme that ties into our work on diversity, research and philanthropy."

Leaseurope recently announced representatives of its Future Group, a group of young leasing professionals nominated by their bosses, will make a presentation at the Leaseurope Annual Convention in Rome.
