Cornwall-based Ignition, a provider of vehicle and asset finance for SMEs, has made two senior hires for its brokerage and underwriting teams.
Andy Morris has joined as a senior underwriter, bringing two decades in financial services to the role. He was most recently senior underwriter at Paragon Bank Business Finance, where he joined in 2015.
Prior to that, he held positions within Deutsche Leasing, BNP Paribas, Lombard and Five Arrows. He holds experience in finance for a variety of sectors including agriculture, construction, personal wealth, marine and aviation.
Alan Brookland has joined as internal broker account manager from Swinton Insurance, where he was customer services manager. Brookland has been working in financial services for 13 years, including as a financial crime and risk analyst at GE’s Cornwall offices.
Samantha Keen and Katie Geal have also been appointed, respectively, financial controller and administrator.
Morris said: “Ignition offers a unique, personal approach when it comes to organising finance for its clients, seeking out the best solutions on a case by case basis. I’m excited to be working with the team and helping to take the business forward.”
Paul Caunter, appointed managing director of Ignition in May, said: “We’re fortunate to have an exceptional team at Ignition, who are highly focussed on providing excellent service for our customers. I’m delighted to welcome Andy, Alan and Katie to Ignition, to help further strengthen the team and build on this success.”
