Hitachi Capital UK has appointed Guy Munnoch as chairman and shuffled its non-executive team.
Alan Hughes has joined as deputy chairman and senior independent director and Anne Whitaker starts as chair of the Audit Committee and independent non-executive director.
Munnoch has over 20 years’ experience in financial services, and has previously served as chief executive officer of Zurich Financial Services in the UK and Southern Africa. Prior to this, Munnoch held many positions at Aviva and Allianz.
Hughes spent 35 years at HSBC, where he served on the executive committee, including time as chief executive officer of First Direct Bank. He has also spent time as a visiting lecturer at Oxford and Warwick, and is pro-chancellor of Loughborough University.
Whitaker spent 30 years at insurance firm Ernst & Young (EY) before departing 8 years ago, and served in many positions such as head of audit, UK financial services practice, and specialised in investment management.
