Business finance specialist Haydock Finance has appointed Gordon MacGregor as its chief credit officer.
In his new role, he will be responsible for spearheading the credit function and driving initiatives to enhance service excellence within the company.
MacGregor has more than two decades of experience in banking and asset finance, and previously served at RBS/Lombard and Close Brothers.
Haydock Finance chief risk officer Ian Barr said: “I am delighted to welcome Gordon to the team. His distinguished career and deep understanding of asset finance brings invaluable expertise to Haydock.
“Gordon will be responsible for building on the excellent work our credit team has driven to date and this appointment will strengthen our delivery of service excellence.”
MacGregor’s recent role as risk director for Carrick Asset Finance saw him establish a risk team and design the lending policy and credit framework for the company.
MacGregor said: “With strong foundations and a talented team, I am thrilled to be joining Haydock. I also confident that my experience in team and portfolio management will help to support Haydock’s ambitious growth trajectory.”
UK-based Haydock welcomed four new senior underwriters in December 2024. Among them is Angela Hendrie, who joins the structured credit team, bringing more than 25 years of experience.
The Flow Credit team has also seen the additions of Emma Richardson, Jim Stewart, and Stuart MacVicar.
