Blackburn-based SME lender Haydock Finance has created the role of relationship director and promoted from within to fill it.
Andrew Derby held the position of senior underwriter with Haydock Finance for three years before winning the promotion. His previous roles include as a business support specialist for Ford Credit Europe, and as a credit manager for Barclays Bank from 2008-2014.
John Jenkins, chief executive officer at Haydock, said: “Andrew is a highly experienced, well-respected individual with a robust understanding of credit risk drivers and an ability to disseminate complex information involving multiple stakeholders. This appointment further strengthens our infrastructure and will act as a catalyst to accelerate new business growth with a new focus on the Structured space.
Derby said: “Haydock is a business that puts the needs of its customers and introducers first and I’m excited to develop our capability and further contribute towards driving the business forward. There’s a culture of internal promotion and personal development here which explains the well established, high calibre team which already provides market leading levels of service.
Haydock is one of the largest finance companies in the UK with gross receivables in excess of £250m. The asset finance division of Secure Trust Bank outsourced lending to Haydock Finance until its sale in January 2018.
In May, Haydock Finance appointed a broker relationship manager for the South West of England.
