The Supervisory Board of Grenke AG has elected Jens Rönnberg as interim deputy chairman of its supervisory board, according to a company press release.
Rönnberg is a tax adviser and auditor. He has been a member of the GRENKE supervisory board since November 2019.
He takes over the office of deputy chairman from Wolfgang Grenke, whose position was temporarily suspended on 21 September.
The audit committee consists of Florian Schulte (chair), Jens Rönnberg (member) and Ernst-Moritz Lipp (member).
Rönnberg is also a new member of the personnel committee. The other members are still Ljiljana Mitic and Ernst-Moritz Lipp.
The tasks of the strategy committee have been transferred to the supervisory board.

Chilean born Rönnberg is a graduate from Goethe University in Frankfurt.
He started his career in 1986 at PwC in Frankfurt. In 1993, he was appointed as a partner at PwC and was responsible for auditing a major bank and its domestic and foreign subsidiaries until 1998.
At the end of 1998, he joined PwC UK in London as a partner, where he was responsible for foreign bank branches and subsidiaries until the end of 2001.
He established the Foreign Bank division for PwC in Frankfurt at the end of 2001, taking over audit responsibility for a large number of foreign bank branches and subsidiaries.
In the period from 2006 to 2010, Jens Rönnberg established the Transaction Services Financial Services division and was involved in numerous transactions in the areas of banking and non-performing loans. From 2008 to 2012, he was also the auditor responsible for the European Central Bank.
From 2010 to mid-2018, he assumed responsibility for establishing PwC’s Financial Services division in Vienna, Austria.
Since 2014, as the responsible partner, he has been advising a major German banking group in consulting projects.
From 2001 to 2018, he was also a member of the Audit Committee for Auditors at the Chamber of Auditors.
Since June 2018, he has been working as an auditor/tax consultant in his own practice at his place of residence.
