White Oak UK has appointed one of its long-standing managers to head of broker and strategic partnerships.
Matt Phillips joined LDF Group in 2009, before it was acquired by US financial services firm White Oak this year. Phillips’ positions at LDF included senior consultant from 2009 to 2011 and sales team leader from 2011 to 2015. Most recently, he was a sales team manager at White Oak UK.
Previous positions include business development manager for Rentokil and sales manager for Combined Insurance. In 2015, Phillips played a key role in shaping “Introduce”, White Oak UK’s client referral scheme, which has since generated over £87m (€98m) in origination from more than 230 approved introducers.
Phillips was also the 2016 winner of the Leasing Life Award for Young Professional of the Year.
Phillips said: “I’m delighted to be appointed to this vital role at an exciting time for the company. My goal is to work with the broker community and provide them with great products that fulfil both their needs and the needs of their customers, all of which will be supported by great service from people who understand their individual requirements.”
White Oak UK said it provided over £511m in funding to UK businesses in 2017, and earlier this year broke £1bn on its own book since its launch four years prior.
