Barclays has appointed a head for the manufacturing, transport and logistics segment within corporate banking, serving middle- and upper-size companies.
Helena Sans joins in from Barclays’s retail and wholesale corporate banking team, where she spent the last two and a half years as director.
Her career started 20 years ago within Barclays, with the last decade spent in a number of roles in debt financing, covering SMEs as well as larger corporates.
Sans replaces Mike Rigby, who has become had of business services, also within the corporate banking division.
Sans said: “In a world of fast-paced technological change, it is an exciting time to be working in the UK manufacturing, transport and logistics sectors and supporting our clients in these key industries of the UK economy.
“I look forward to working with the team as we focus on successfully providing outstanding service to our clients as we work with them to help them achieve their goals.”
