UK materials handling supplier
Canning Conveyor has formed a partnership with lease broker Lease
UK for the provision of three- and five-year fixed rental options
on the Worksop-based manufacturer’s conveyor systems.

Danny Lawrence of Lease UK’s sales team worked
with sales director Steve Dexter and Canning Conveyor’s Andrew
Canning to plan the partnership over a period of six months, before
launching it at the end of Q1. The new leasing service has already
attracted business, with a deal in the range of £750,000 being
processed currently, and a rising rate of leasing enquiries to
Canning. The company had never used leasing before.

As well as being a first for Canning, the
partnership marks a move into larger mid-ticket machinery deals for
Lease UK, which is keen to develop business in this market,
according to Lawrence.

The broker intends to do this by developing
more vendor relationships with British machinery suppliers, whose
products in the mid-ticket size bracket are still enjoying robust
values and a good resale climate, despite the uncertainty clouding
smaller plant and wheeled assets.
