Commercial vehicle fleet provider BNP Paribas Rental Solutions has appointed a head of operations.
Ged Mellish joins the business as head of operations from Saint-Gobain where he was regional fleet engineering manager, jointly responsible for the management of 3,000 heavy and light commercial vehicles, including the company’s MHE fleet leased to internal customers in the UK.
Prior to this, Mellish was an engineering compliance manager at Canute Haulage Group.
BNP Paribas Rental Solutions provides fleet consultancy, nationwide maintenance network and financial fleet leasing products.

In February BNP Paribas Leasing Solutions and 3 Step IT agreed to create a European strategic alliance for technology lifecycle management, with a planned joint venture by the end of the year.
The alliance will be effective in the 20 European countries where each of the partners operates, as part of a partnership developed under the name “BNP Paribas 3 Step IT”. Within the partnership, a joint venture operation will trade in 11 countries, starting in France, Italy, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom.
