Avolon has appointed Joe Nellis, a former managing director at GE Capital, as an independent non-executive director to its board, effective since 4 January 2017.
The Dublin-based aircraft lessor, which acquired CIT Leasing in October 2016, also appointed Ciarán Ó hÓgartaigh and Denis Kalscheur in the same roles.
Nellis has spent 30 years in financial services, and most recently served as a managing director of the business development team at GE Capital. He joined GE Capital in 1990, and also held the position of commercial leader for GE Capital Solutions, Europe, among other roles.
Ó hÓgartaigh is a professor of accounting and dean of University College Dublin College of Business, and serves on the audit committee of Ireland’s Department of Finance.
Kalscheur has 25 years’ experience in the aviation industry, and previously served as vice chairman and chief executive officer at Aviation Capital Group.
