Asset Finance Solutions (AFS) has made three recent appointments to their Synergy, Compliance and Franchisee teams.
Melanie Harris is joining AFS’s business development management team of Synergy Commercial Finance. She will be based in York and comes with strong commercial banking and brokering background.
Prior to her new role, Harris worked with the Clydesdale/Yorkshire Bank for 15 years where she held several different roles across a range of banking disciplines.
AFS said it is planning on appointing two more business development managers.
Miles Utterly is joining as a conduct officer for AFS Compliance.
“I have worked in the asset finance market place for 20 years and worked as a self-employed A/R under AFS for 10 of those years. Most of my experience is centred around plant, machinery and commercial vehicle finance and I look forward to a completely different experience as a conduct officer for AFS family – putting the shoe on the other foot,” he said.
Kevin Walker is joining the Synergy network and will be based in Greater London operating under the name of The Finance Boutique.
Walker worked for Metro Bank for eight years as a local and regional director. “Synergy Commercial Finance has an established name and is well known in the finance industry, the 200 lenders they have to offer has automatically given me the opportunity to cover various sectors,” Walker said.
Three specialist companies operate under the AFS name. Synergy Commercial Finance and AFS Compliance offer finance on cars, trucks, plant and machinery to business loans, property finance and secured personal loans. AFS Franchise team offers a broker service.
AFS is an independent commercial finance broker, not a lender. AFS is an appointed representative of AFS Compliance and is regulated by the FCA.
AFS’ Synergy Commercial Finance’ office is based in York and AFS’ compliance office is based in Blackburn.
