ABN Amro Lease has announced the appointment of George Ashworth as managing director as it prepares to launch UK operations early next year.

Ashworth left his previous position as managing director of asset finance at Aldermore Bank in the summer, when he also stood down as chairman of the asset finance division of the Finance & Leasing Association.
The new business will increase the Amsterdam-based bank’s presence in the UK once approval has been given by Dutch and UK regulators.
