Alphabet has appointed a chief executive officer for its French operations.
Stephane Crasnier is to start in the role in July.
He originally joined the BMW Group in 2005, as corporate sales manager for BMW France. He subsequently held executive positions within Alphabet France, and also headed BMW’s leasing operations in China.
He is currently general manager for Alphabet Australia.
Alphabet has recently expanded operations beyond its core markets in bigger European economies. In March, it entered Portugal through an agreement with Finlog, and in April partnered with Avis Fleet Solutions to begin operations in Ireland.
In 2017, Alphabet reported a 5.5% growth in fleet portfolio, to 680,000 contracts. It also saw a 4% increase in order volumes, to 240,000 contracts.
