The UK-based asset finance charity AFPA Trust is to hold its first post-lockdown leasing industry networking and charity fundraiser on Thursday 5th August 2021 onboard a docked yacht on the Thames at Victoria Embankment, London.
The event, which had been earlier set for 8 July, was postponed when the government announced a four-week delay to an easing of its Covid lockdown restrictions across England.
From the original bookings, AFPA Trust sold 40+ tickets which organisers said would be carried forward to the 5 August date. “Whilst its traditional holiday season we look forward to a full turn out given limited holiday options and much interest already,” said Adrian Langford, chair of AFPA Trust.
Existing sponsors Clear Business Finance, VitrX and Lti Technology Solutions have now been joined by new sponsors Time Finance, Catfoss Finance and Global Lifecycle Management. If you want your company to sponsor this or future events, please contact Vince vohanlon@vitrx.co.uk for information.
AFPA Trust said entry from midday will be based on pre-booked tickets only, so please visit the AFPA Trust website to reserve your place at https://www.afpatrust.com/event/afpa-trust-summer-sizzler-event/ Tickets will include an initial drink and a burger.
The event will support Medical Detection Dogs on the back of news that as well as cancers, dogs are being trained to detect Covid-19. To learn more, visit: www.medicaldetectiondogs.org.uk/covid-19-detection-dogs

“AFPA decided that the open-air yacht London on the Embankment represented the best and safest way to re-start our events season,” the Trust said in a statement.
