The Asset Finance Professionals Association (AF-PA) has raised a total of £19,000 across several events for Partnership for Children, a charity for children.
The events included a golfing tournament, a charity auction, a sponsored cross-channel swim, and a summer event on the Yacht in London.
‘The London event saw over 200 asset finance professionals from a diverse range of companies and all business levels, join forces to network in the sun and raise money for our chosen Summer charity: Partnership for Children,’ said spokesman Johnnie Halliday in a release on behalf of AF-PA.
‘Thanks also to our sponsors Vitrx, Cordoba Rewards, Wesleyan Bank, Clear Asset Finance and Arkle Finance.’
Stephen Basset, AF-PA chair, thanked the groups and individuals involved in raising the total.
“We reached this amazing figure with £5,000 from our golf day, over £3000 raised by auction and raffle money collected by Partnership for Children on the day kindly doubled by Wesleyan Bank, our generous sponsors including Cordoba Splat the Rat competition, and an amazing cross-channel swim by Melanie Chell, partner at Shoosmiths, raising an additional £1000,” he said.
