central to the business of a number of international lessors, with
SGEF Polska, Siemens and Pekao Leasing leading the way.

SGEF Polska cooperates with major
vendors, many of which are extensions of its wider European
partnerships. Vendor business is about 40% of the company’s overall
business.

MD Lech Zeyer says: “These are
European-wide agreements established at headquarter level, and we
are servicing them locally.”

Printing and construction are among
the sectors in which it has strong co-operation with international
manufacturers.

Pekao Leasing generates 35% of its
business from vendor finance. It has strategic partnerships in the
automotive sector, and has been working for the past six years with
BMW, operating its BMW FS business. Last year, it also launched a
partnership with Ford.

It has also agreements with large
players in IT, including Cisco. At the end of 2010, it signed an
agreement with another large IT firm.

Pekao Leasing CEO Irene Grzybowski
explains that the next step is the medical sector.

“We have started working closely
with two major suppliers of medical equipment in Poland, as part of
UniCredit Leasing’s global relationships, and we plan to strengthen
this,” Grzybowski says.

In the automotive sector,
Masterlease Polska is a provider of private label programmes for
car producers.

“Because of our former relationship
with GM, we still operate a programme called Opel Business
Services, which is dedicated to Opel vehicles,” says Masterlease
Polska CFO Jakub Kizielewicz.

In 2010, the company also signed
private label programmes with Hyundai and Seat.

SFS’s core business in Poland is vendor-referred, which,
