Alternative peer to peer lender Funding Circle has passed the £50m mark in new lending two years after the UK company was established.
Laura McMullen, business development director at Funding Circle said the firm has seen a jump in business over the past two months, lending over £12m since August.

She added: "We are seeing more professional advisors coming to us as they become aware of new sources of finance that are more responsive to their clients’ needs."
In the wake of the departure of ING Lease from the UK leasing market, Funding Circle said it would urge intermediaries to take a look at the asset finance option it provides.
