Christian Roelofs has been promoted to
director at global consultancy Grant Thornton as part of the firm’s
ambition to grow its leasing and consumer finance work –
in which Roelofs has been an associate director since August
2011 – in the UK and Europe.
Phil Gerrard also joins as a director
specialising in financial and operational advisory, re-structuring
and recovery services to the continental leasing market.
Previously, Gerrard had been
interim chief executive and project director at Grant Thornton
helping the restructure of a Central European bank-owned
asset-leasing group following work with the Royal Bank of Scotland,
Lombard Vehicle Management and Lex Vehicle Leasing among
others.
Furthermore, Peter Landers has been appointed
as a director alongside Roelofs and Gerrard specialising in the
provision of financial and strategic advisory services in UK
consumer finance.
The company commented that all three
appointments reflected the commitment Grant Thornton was making to
build its European advisory practice and the experience of its
London-based team.
