RBS asset finance manager jailed for £70,000 gambling swindle

An asset finance manager from the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) has been jailed for two years after deceiving his employers out of £70,000 (77,600) over a nine month period. Yuen Fai James Lee abused his position as an asset finance manager at RBS to create false transactions or non-existent transactions for clients, Clare Stevens, prosecuting, told Bradford Crown Court.

Poland’s Bank Millennium aims to grow leasing business by 30% in 2010

Bank Millennium aims to grow its leasing business in Poland by 30 percent in 2010, the Portuguese BCP (Banco Comercial Portugus) subsidiary has announced. Andrzej Glinski, head of corporate banking at Bank Millennium, said that leasing and factoring were strategic products for Millennium, and that gains in factoring would be achieved thanks to investment in the banks IT systems. Currently, 60 percent of Millenniums leasing business is sourced through its banking clients, and Glinski said the goal was to grow the number of SME customers.
