UK broker new European partner for bioscience company
Oak Leasing appears to be crafting a niche for itself in vendor finance for the medical and lab equipment sector, signing into a partnership with global manufacturer Accuri last month. The new vendor agreement, negotiations for which began in November 2009 with Accuris managing director Bob Penny, is the fifth partnership that Oak, a UK lease brokerage, has made in the sector. In last years third quarter, Oak was named European leasing partner for American chromatograph manufacturer Semba Bioscience.

Bibby launches into materials handling following new partnership with Cesab
Bibby Leasing, part of the Bibby Financial Services Group, has made a significant step into the materials handling market through a vendor finance partnership with European forklift brand Cesab. The Liverpool-based leasing company, which also has lines of business in trade and cash-flow finance, was selected late last year as the UK funding partner for Cesab, a subsidiary business of TICO (Toyota Industries Corporation).
Oxby joins new Santander from Lombard (Free)
Mike Oxby has departed Lombard, the leasing arm of RBS, to lead the asset finance division of Santander Corporate Banking. Oxby, who now reports to Marcelino Castrillo Garcia, managing director of products and marketing at Santanders corporate arm, has previously worked at De Lage Landen, Hewlett Packard Financial Services, and Key Equipment Finance.

Machine tool, medical equipment and laser equipment manufacturer Trumpf is enjoying sales aid success through its in house leasing programme, which recent customers have called preferable to the offerings of dedicated leasing companies.
HSBC Vehicle Finance to shut down (Free)
HSBC is to wind down its vehicle finance arm, migrating exisiting customers over to Lex Autolease, owned by high street banking rival Lloyds Banking Group. HSBC Vehicle Finance (HSBCVF) had specialised in providing contract hire facilities to business van users.
Russia’s Rosagroleasing to supply 2,500 tractors (Free)
Rosagroleasing, the Russian states agricultural leasing company, announced plans this week to supply more than three thousand pieces of farming machinery to Russian farmers before this years spring sowing, including 2,500 tractors.
Oak signs fifth medical vendor deal (Free)
Oak Leasing signed a new vendor partnership with cytometer manufacturer Accuri last month. UK broker Oak will act as Accuri’s leasing partner for all European sales, providing finance in the UK and eight other countries.

David Betteley has joined Jaguar as director of the luxury carmaker’s Financial Services division Betteley, also currently chairman of the Finance & Leasing Association, is a well-known figure in the motor finance world, having held the role of vice-president at Toyota Financial Services EMEA for over a decade until his retirement late last year
