Lombard backs Burnley printer
A Burnley-based food packaging company has secured £1.25m (1.52m) of financing from Lombard for a new printing press. Learoyd Packaging sought asset finance from the RBS subsidiary to fund a new £1.75m Windmoller & Holscher press, its third new press in five years. Learoyd Packaging MD Allan Ferguson said: As the business expands its critical that we continue to provide customers with the product and service that they are used to.
SHFL upgrade
US-headquartered IT solutions company NetSol Technologies has announced it has signed a LeaseSoft licence upgrade agreement with UK funder Singers Healthcare Finance Ltd (SHFL). SHFL will now upgrade to the latest version of NetSols LeaseSoft asset management software, giving it access to functionality enhancements including specific enhancements to support the specialist area of health care operating leases. SHFL CEO Susan Hinton-Smith said: We have enjoyed a successful relationship with NetSol, and this upgrade agreement is made in the certain knowledge that NetSol delivers on its promises.

ING Lease and MAN win Polish bus contract
A consortium formed of the Polish arms of ING Lease and MAN Truck & Bus has been awarded a contract to supply buses to serve the countrys capital. The vehicles will be supplied at a total cost of 118.3 million PLN (28.8 million).

Avolon acquires aircraft from Air Berlin
Irish aircraft leasing group Avolon has announced it has acquired two Airbus A320 aircraft from German carrier Air Berlin, which is the fifth largest airline in Europe
