Frameworks may mean leasing fail

The widespread use of framework agreements has been linked to a potential fall in the amount of leasing used by public sector organisations. Fears that such arrangements could reduce the use of leasing by cutting out a significant section of leasing providers were raised by consultant David Shone. Shone, director of Digital Networks, said: “If a leasing company fails to get on a framework, its unlikely they will have another chance for four years.”

Bids for Atlantic wind farms

Syscap funds wireless package

IT funder Syscap has signed an exclusive deal with Wireless Logic to fund clients acquiring hardware, software and connectivity via its managed finance solution. Wireless Logic customers can acquire wireless devices such as smart meters, vehicle tracking units and rugged PDAs with a single monthly tariff, including all the costs connected with the solution.

Brazilian jets sold to Chinese lessor

The company signed a memorandum of understanding with CDB Leasing, which is controlled by the China Development Bank (CDB), in December 2009, aimed at generating financing opportunities for Embraer aircraft both in China and elsewhere.

GE Capital Corporate Finance is to be administrative agent for a $150m asset-based revolving credit facility for ArchBrook Laguna, an electronics and computer products distributor. Udvar-Hzys company said it planned to use the money to acquire commercial aircraft and for general corporate purposes.
