Fleet
Logistics has appointed Stuart Donnelly, UK and international
business development director, to lead a new management team for
its Nordic operations to spearhead expansion in the
region.
Donnelly, who has been with
Fleet Logistics for the past four years, will be responsible for
operations and commercial activities in Norway, Sweden, Denmark and
Finland; and will be based at the company’s regional head office in
Malmo, Sweden. He replaces Ulf Wirkland, the previous regional
head, who has left the business.
As part of the management
restructuring of Fleet Logistics’ Nordic operations, Elisabeth
Ivarsson and Katharina Muller have been promoted. They take joint
responsibility for managing operations in Norway, Sweden, Denmark
and Finland.
Donnelly’s appointment comes
as Fleet Logistics said it will open new offices in Helsinki to
support large international customers in Finland.
Peter Soliman, CEO of Fleet
Logistics, said there are considerable growth opportunities within
the four main countries of the Nordic region.
Fleet Logistics plans to
double its 5,000-strong Nordic fleet within the next three
years.

that a new management team, led with energy and determination by
Stuart, will have the capability to achieve and deliver on our
expansion plans for the region and for the business as a whole, and
we wish him all possible success.”
The fleet market in the
Nordic region is less mature than in the UK, France and Germany,
and therefore provides good potential for growth, said a spokesman
for Fleet Logistics.
Corporate car fleets in the
Nordics are mostly subsidiaries of large Western companies, the
spokesman added.
Fleet Logistics currently manages a vehicle fleet of
around 80,000 vehicles and the group has operations in a range of
countries including Germany, France and the UK.
