Finance broker funding specialist, Close Brothers Business Finance, has made two appointments as it pushes ahead with plans to support UK SMEs through broker relationships.
James Robins, broker relationship manager for the North West region, is an internal appointment who joins from Close Brothers Leasing, where he spent 13 months as a business support administrator before making the move to Close Brothers Business Finance. As well as working full-time, James is also a professional rugby player for Yorkshire Carnegie Rugby Union Club.
Stuart Brown, broker development manager – covering the North West region – brings over 20 years’ experience in the asset finance market to his new role, including 16 years with Lombard in both fleet and technology finance. Also a successful sportsman, Stuart is a former scratch team captain of Royal Liverpool golf club

In May, Close Brothers Asset Finance and Leasing announced the return of its Sales Academy, designed to attract new and diverse talent into the sector, the company said.
