Despite facing the tailwinds of economic uncertainty, as the Finance and Leasing Association (FLA) figures show, it’s been another strong year for the Asset Finance broker market with double digit growth year on year.
Whilst this growth has attracted high levels of liquidity and competition, it’s also brought with it new opportunities; for instance this year we further invested in our classic and prestige car team. This demonstrated that the specialist model, when applied correctly, can be a successful proposition.
In November we launched our online portal, Asset Backer, which enables brokers to create quotes, submit proposals, generate and submit documents and e-sign documents in an end-to-end paperless process. Asset Backer has received extremely positive feedback from our brokers, but we recognise that it can’t all be about machines. Whilst we aim to continue using technology, we equally place value on human interaction and will always ensure that we don’t lose our human touch.
Looking ahead to 2020, we don’t see levels of competition decreasing, so differentiation will play a key role in continuing growth.
However, our achievements and ability to innovate would not be possible if we didn’t have great people.
