A number of fleet management providers have been selected to cover up to three ‘lots’ for public sector fleets by the Crown Commercial Service.

These lots are for cars, vans, alternatively fuelled vehicles and 4X4s up to 3.5 tonnes (Lot 1), commercial vehicles of 3.5 tonnes and above (Lot 2) and fleet management services (Lot 3).

A total of 19 suppliers were selected for the Lots, with some being selected for more than one Lot.

Hitachi Capital Vehicle Solutions, Leasedrive and Automotive Leasing, Leaseplan’s public sector division, were all selected to provide vehicles and fleet management services for all three lots.

Jon Lawes, managing director of Hitachi Capital Vehicle Solutions, said: "As one of the only providers to cover all three lots following the agreement with the CCS, Hitachi Capital is in a fantastic position to become one of the sole suppliers of vehicles and fleet management solutions to a number of government departments, local authorities and emergency services, including the Police and NHS."

Alphabet, BMW’s fleet arm, has been selected for lots 1 and 3, while ALD and Arval were both selected for Lot 1.
