The House of Lords will receive a panel of academics and industry experts to determine the likely impact of Brexit on the UK’s financial services sector.
Scheduled for 7 September, the House of Lords EU Financial Affairs Sub-Committee will meet to hear evidence for the first in a series of enquiries regarding the issues that may arise during Brexit negotiations.
The witnesses giving evidence will include Andrew Gray, UK regional financial services leader at PwC, and Eilis Ferran, professor of company and securities law at Cambridge University.
The committee will aim to assess what Brexit will mean for financial institutions and service providers, whether they are in the UK, the EU, or the wider world.
It will also consider the options for the UK’s future relationship with the European Union.
